„The 2025er Reiler Mullay-Hofberg Riesling Spätlese Schäf was made from lightly botrytized grapes harvested at 90° Oechsle from 70-plus-year-old vines in the prime south-facing sector in the heart of the vineyard and was fermented and aged in Fuder down to sweet levels of residual sugar (74 g/l). This hay-colored wine offers a gorgeous nose made of citrusy elements, whipped cream, passion fruit, and herbal elements, all wrapped in a hint of almond paste and apricot blossom. The wine is gorgeous dancing on the palate, where juicy creaminess enhances the fresh and vivid fruity beauty. What a great Spätlese! 2035-2055“ – Mosel Fine Wines
„The 2025 Reiler Mullay-Hofberg Spätlese „Schäf“ is fruity and aromatic like ripe, luscious pineapple and apricot yet here spiced with blue slate splitters and iodine nuances. Lush and sensual on the palate, this is a savory and fresh, beautifully aromatic and textured Spätlese with rather mild but digestible acidity and a pleasant finish. It is based on the fruit of two pickings, an early one and a later one with some percent of over-ripeness. Two fuders were made. Tasted as a sample ready for bottling in March 2026.“ – Wine Advocate
